Description of Visits
New Patient Visit
A New Patient Visit refers to the first visit. It consists of a comprehensive patient evaluation, an initial treatment plan and a short acupuncture treatment if time permits. Please print and complete our Health History Questionnaire at home and bring it to your first visit.
Standard Office Visit
A Standard Office Visit includes a review of the patient’s condition, an acupuncture treatment, and revised herbal, homeopathic, or nutritional recommendations as necessary.
Maintenance Visit
A Maintenance Visit (or Wellness Visit) is for patients who have completed treatment for their initial health concerns, and wish to maintain their improved health and further enhance their well-being. A minimum of one visit per month is required to qualify for this discounted rate.
Adult Homeopathic Intake
A Homeopathic Intake is essentially a long interview in which the patient describes himself/herself and their condition in great detail. The practitioner may ask the patient to further elucidate important aspects of their history and lifestyle. After the appointment, the practitioner will analyze the case to identify the best rememdy, and contact the patient with appropriate recommendations.
Child Homeopathic Intake
A Child Homeopathic Intake differs from the Adult Intake in that children, depending on their age, may not yet have sufficient language facility to accurately describe their condition. In such cases a parent's perspective is critical to arriving at the correct remedy. Often a Child Intake moves more quickly than an Adult's as they have a much shorter history to record, making the case quicker to analyze. In addition, children, with their youthful vigor, tend to respond more rapidly and completely to remedies.
